These websites are hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, and delivered through a content delivery network. When pages and media are accessed, the hosting provider automatically processes technical access data in server log files (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, URL requested, referrer, browser type).

Images may be served in optimised formats through the hosting provider's built-in image optimisation. The hosting provider processes the access data listed above where this is required for delivery and optimisation.

Processing takes place to provide, deliver and secure the websites on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Data may be transferred to the USA on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses where no comparable level of protection is otherwise ensured. Log data is stored only as long as necessary for operation and security.

For the athlete profile area on athlete.leowiese.de, I use Upstash (Upstash, Inc.) as a Redis service to cache technical API responses, in particular aggregated Instagram metrics and credentials for the Instagram interface.

The cache does not store contact or profile data of website visitors. Processing serves the stable and performant delivery of public content on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

On athlete.leowiese.de, public Instagram posts and aggregated profile metrics are retrieved via the Instagram Graph API from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. / Meta Platforms, Inc. and displayed on the website.

Retrieval takes place server-side through my website. No visitor profile data is transmitted to Meta. When post media are loaded, images and videos may be fetched from Meta's CDN (cdninstagram.com) through a proxy endpoint on this website. This may generate technical access data, in particular IP addresses, at Meta and my hosting provider.

Reels and videos are initially shown as preview media on the website. An embedded Instagram player is loaded only when you actively interact with a post. When you open content on instagram.com, Meta's privacy policy applies.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in presenting an up-to-date athlete profile and social media presence).

If you contact me by email, I process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, message content) to handle your enquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR where your enquiry relates to contract performance or pre-contractual measures; otherwise Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Data is deleted once the enquiry has been fully handled and no statutory retention obligations apply.

The websites use locally hosted fonts (self-hosting). No connections to external font providers such as Google Fonts are established when pages are loaded.

These websites do not use tracking, marketing or analytics cookies and do not use analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

The hosting provider may use technically necessary cookies or similar technologies required for operation, security or load balancing. Consent is not required for these under applicable law.

No cookie banner is shown because no non-essential cookies are used for tracking or advertising purposes.

The websites contain links to external platforms, e.g. Instagram, Strava or email clients. The respective provider is responsible for processing personal data on those external services.

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing and data portability where the legal requirements are met. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
